DCBB 2015 Schedule

Hi, folks!

It's been announced already at our twitter and tumblr accounts, but yes, it's true! The DCBB will be running again in 2015! With so much new interest in the challenge thanks to Tumblr, I'll be putting together a quick newbie's guide that outlines the challenge from start to finish, but remember that you can always send an email to the mod account if you have questions!

With the 2014 Masterpost up, I can happily say that with 151 Big Bangs and 24 Mini Bangs, 2014 was the biggest DCBB so far! Here're some stats:

2014 -- 151 Big Bangs, 24 Mini Bangs
2013 -- 116 Big Bangs, 18 Mini Bangs
2012 -- 85 Big Bangs, 21 Mini Bangs
2011 -- 55 Big Bangs, 14 Mini Bangs
2010 -- 55 Big Bangs

And for a little added math, the lovely thevioletcaptain on Tumblr tallied up a rough total of the overall word count generated by the DCBB in the past five years!

2014 -- 7,350,270 words
2013 -- 5,881,717 words
2012 -- 4,049,434 words
2011 -- 2,200,665 words
2010 -- 2,134,122 words

... for an outstanding total of 21,616,208 words!

And so, onwards and upwards to 2015!
