New Year, New Look

Happy New Year everyone!

Now that the holidays are over we are ready to reveal the new look deancasbigbang community. Ta-da!

Thanks to all the talented artists who submitted works and congratulations to smallworld_inc who submitted the winning design.

With the new look comes some slight amendments to the rules based on the feedback we received from all of you. Everything is listed on the FAQ page but to summarise these are the things we have tweaked

1. The crossposting rule has been changed so that once your master post has gone live on this community you can crosspost wherever you like and don't need to link back here unless you choose to.

2. The artist sign-up date has been extended so that it doesn't close until the day before art claims. The full schedule for 2012 is available on the profile page

3. Summaries will be available for preview 2 hours before claiming goes live

4. Artists will have the opportunity to list their top 3 summaries which will be allocated on a first come first served basis in order of preference

5. Tags have been amended slightly which should make it easier for you to find the masterposts from previous years

6. Anyone who dropped out after posting began (Oct 3) or who failed to post at all last year will not be eligible to participate this year but can do so next year. This rule will be ongoing from now on to encourage people to give us as much notice as possible if they need to drop out. We had authors without art last year and artists without fic and this is to prevent that from happening again.
